The Advanced Information Systems Technology program hosted a two-day workshop from February 25 – 26, 2020 in Washington, D.C. to foster discussion and new ideas to improve how we monitor Earth from space.

Attendees from agencies, academia and industry gathered at the Hyatt Place next to NASA Headquarters. They shared presentations (included below) and participated in breakout sessions to discuss science and technology capabilities.

The science breakout themes were:

  • Atmosphere
  • Carbon and Ecosystems
  • Earth Surface and Interior
  • Oceans
  • Snow/Ice/Energy

The technology capabilities themes were:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Interaction to science and forecast models
  • Inter-node coordination
  • Onboard data understanding and analysis
  • Planning, scheduling and decision making
