Abstract:
The Snow and Water Imaging Spectrometer (SWIS) is a 6U CubeSat instrument that targets coastal and snow-covered regions. It supports a resolution of 160m from a 520 km orbit, with a 90 km swath, and covers the 350-1700 nm spectral range with 5.5 nm spectral sampling. In this talk, we review the progress made in fabrication and assembly of the sensor and also new potential mission concepts over Greenland and the Antarctica.
