Title: THz InP HEMT Technology for Sub-Millimeter Wave Atmospheric Sensing

Abstract:
InP HEMT technology has advanced significantly in the last decade, with small gatelength transistors capable of demonstrating maximum frequency of oscillation (fMAX) as high as 1.5 THz. This advance enables MMIC based LNA's, mixers, multipliers and power amplifiers to frequencies approaching 1 THz (1,000 GHz). This talk will focus on technology advances and how they can be applied to a new generation of submillimeter wave receiver technology. The talk concludes with an overview of MMIC development on the TWICE project.
