Abstract

Wildfire detection is challenging in cloudy skies, where fire signatures may be obscured or confused with atmospheric interference. This work explores the use of multichannel satellite imagery to improve wildfire detection in cloudy skies. The approach identifies wildfire indicators across visible, infrared, and thermal bands. This helps distinguish fire from atmospheric noise such as clouds.
