Abstract: Improved simulation techniques and nanotechnology fabrication facilities have been used to make high-performance infrared bandpass filters at shorter wavelengths than previously possible. We report simulated and measured results for filters designed to support NASA flight instruments. The design, fabrication, and testing capabilities at our institutions will be described. Continued progress in this area will result in a U. S. capability to produce essential optical components for astronomical instrumentation and other remote sensing applications.
